What makes an About Hound collar different?

About Hound collars are hand made with extra strong polyester webbing of at least 400 lb test strength).  They are completely hand wrapped in the finest quality linings (satin, velvet or flannel, depending on design) which protect the coat, and are wonderful for dogs with sensitive necks.  Exteriors are created from the finest quality handpicked fabrics and trims, ranging from brocades, jacquards, silks and velvets to flannel and denim.

All areas of an About Hound collar are stitched with rot and mildew resistant Gutermann threads.  The collars are completely double stitched for higher quality and more polished look. They are also triple stitched at all pressure points to ensure a strong and safe product for your much loved companion.  Only solid cast brass and cast nickel slides and D-rings are used (except for 1½” & 2” Nickle D-rings which are only available welded.  All welds are carefully inspected before use).

Caring for your About Hound collar or coat is  easy. Simply hand wash, or machine wash on gentle cycle in Wool-lite and cool water.  Lay flat to dry.  Beaded and Triple Velvet Collars should be touched up with a Tide stick and dry cleaned when needed.
